Christmas Greetings

Hi y'all.

Sorry it's been SOOO long since my last post. Anyone who knows me will know that life's been really hectic over the last few months with work & family taking up much of my blogging time.

A lot of December was spent gearing up for CAROLS IN THE CITY 2006. It's an event which we co-ordinate annually in partnership with Birmingham City Council (this was the 4th year) involving a bunch of local churches in an afternoon of carol singing in different locations round the city centre, free present wrapping, free face painting, giving away chocolates & balloons - and generally being nice to people. As well as all that there was a TREE OF HOPE this year on which people could attach labels with their hopes & dreams written on them. It all culminated in a carol service with gospel choir & band, readings & prayers - and the Lord Mayor & Bishop of Birmingham speaking. The police estimated there were 5,000 people in and around the square for the service with media coverage on BBC & local paper. The council were dead chuffed as they've been trying to change their image since the 'Winterval' debacle 8 years ago and now it's been prooved beyond a shadow that Birmingham knows how to celebrate CHRISTmas. So all in all it turned out to be a brilliant event with lots of positive feedback from everyone. This video is a very rough edit of what happened - hope you enjoy it!

Lastly, have a wonderful christmas and peaceful new year.
