Holiday Snaps

We recently returned from a week away in the Trossachs of Scotland. It’s a beautiful area of lakes & mountains about 1 hr north of Glasgow (between Loch Lomond & Stirling) and a long way from Birmingham.

Despite the long drive, we had a pretty relaxing week in an apartment by Loch Katrine set in the side of the hill with forests all around. Our kids swam every day, went for walks, climbed up a stream and hung out with their Aunty Kay & grandparents. They were particularly excited on our day trip to Tobermory on the Island of Mull – where they film the Cebeebies program Balamory. We also had a fun day in Edinburgh where Jo & I decided that despite the beautiful Highland scenery, we are at heart city folk. Anyway, we return to Birmingham in good spirits and kind of ready for this term, though somewhat reluctant to actually go back to work. Don’t get me wrong. I love my job, but I like relaxing too and sometimes feel I don’t do it enough!!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pics of the beautiful Scottish scenery!
